Genius creator Kristen Tomlan started baking from a young age, and, like the rest of us, always appreciated the un-baked dough part of the cookie making process. After having the idea to create a cookie dough that was made with the purpose of consumption, she began experimenting from her micro-NYC kitchen on a dough that could be safely consumed raw, but could also be baked to create a delicious cookie (other 'consumable raw cookie doughs' you might come across aren't also able to be baked).
While DŌ started out as an online retailer, the business grew so much that they were able to open up a kitchen headquarter in Midtown East where New Yorkers can walk in to purchase their cookie-dough fix. You'll find over 20 flavors (from classic to seasonal), all made with high quality ingredients and zero preservatives. Almost all of their dough can be made gluten-free and there are ample vegan & dairy-free options as well.
