Tea Shops to Warm Up & Unwind In

Thanks to the recent cold front we've had, we decided to look into tea shops to help us warm up and unwind. Get your caffeine intake through these delicious teas that will warm you from the inside out. With so many different varieties, you can enjoy a multitude of flavors and atmospheres. Don’t forget, if this isn't your cup of "tea", you can also read about our other post of spots to help you warm up.

Tea Lounge, Park Slope

The Tea Lounge offers organic coffees and more than 65 fresh loose organic teas everyday. You can also accompany their delicious beverages with locally baked goods and fresh made sandwiches. With black tea, green tea, herbal tea, oolong tea, chai tea, fruit blends, and even medicinal teas, this spot is great for those seeking to expand their tea palate. To check out the Tea Lounge, click here.

Tea & Sympathy, Greenwich Village

Tea & Sympathy brings a taste of England to New York. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you can even bring the taste of England to your home as they offer teas in their online store. Offering their own blended teas, as well as 30 other options, their flavors range from Apricot to Yorkshire Tea Red. Visit their website to explore all of their tea flavors, to view their restaurant menus, and to even check out delicious meal ideas available on their recipe page.

Bellocq Tea Atelier, Greenpoint

Bellocq is truly a unique teashop that captures a little bit of every tea culture. Teas are collected from around the world and then blended together and packaged in custom designed tea canisters. To further add to the unique shop, it’s atmosphere screams eccentricity with its Venetian plaster walls and pink upholstery. Come and unwind as you sip on their delicious teas and enjoy the scenery around you! To read more about Bellocq and their tea, click here.

Cha-An, East Village

Described as intimate and cozy, Cha-An is a Japanese-style teashop with a lot to offer. If you like tea, and Asian inspired desserts, then you must check Cha-An out! Black teas like Ceylon Orange Pekoe, and Oolong teas like the Honey Phoenix, can be accompanied by freshly baked scones, homemade pound cake, or even Green Tea Truffle. They also offer daily lunch specials, for those who prefer to enjoy their tea with a meal. For more information, click here.
