![]() Ted & Honey was founded by Michelle Mannix and her brother Chris "Ted" Jackson when they took over a corner space on Smith and Verandah Place in Cobble Hill just a few years ago. Their focus on local, fresh ingredients and wonderful ambiance made them a hit. Their business has been growing recently with the addition of their new cafe at the Brooklyn Navy Yard's Building 92. They had just opened a commercial kitchen in the Navy Yard when Sandy struck and laid waste to it. It's another case of a small business stretching their resources to grow and terrible luck. We've loved Ted & Honey since we made them a part of our Neighborhood Eats tour and we can't wait until they can continue to grow again and get the kitchen back up and in working order. Ted & Honey ran a Small Knot campaign and hit their goal quickly. However, Small Knot limits the size of a funding campaign and as a result they only raised about 25% of what was needed to rebuild. So we are going to buy a gift certificate as our contribution to their recovery. Gift certificates are a very effective way to inject cash into a business and that is what they need. So please join us and pick up a gift certificate (or two or three) from Ted & Honey for the Holiday season. You can buy their gift certificates HERE.
