Beer & Jazz, Make Italian Pizza, Westchester Ciders, + Learn Traditional African Dances
Chris Cuzme is the brewmaster and owner of the new Fifth Hammer Brewing, which is a stop on our NYC Brewery tour. He also happens to be a serious jazz musician. So every Wednesday he brings back a tradition from when he used to brew at the now closed 508 Gastrobrewery. On Cuzday, he welcomes a different musician to join him in the taproom. Tonight come hear Chris and drummer Ari Hoenig.
Naples is pizza's birth place and while our classic NY pizza is quite different, it's always good to get in touch with our roots. Join Chef Alessandro Capuano to discover exactly how to make the good stuff yourself using the guidelines of the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli. And along with some complimentary aperol, be sure to enjoy a full-on pizza party.
Bronx Beer Hall will be handing their tap lines over to the new Westchester County cidery Diner Brew Co. for the night. Be the first in the Bronx to taste their unique ciders (including one made with miso), buy bottles, and dance it off with music spun by Uptown Vinyl Supreme.
Spend the afternoon dancing and learning about the Three Kings Day traditions and the African roots of Brazilian, Haitian, and Cuban dance. The afternoon at RestorationART will will feature demonstrations and workshops supporting Cumbé (the Center for African and Diaspora Dance).
