#MonthlyPearl- D'Amico's Coffee Roasters

1/7/2015

In 1948, Emanuele D'Amico opened up D'Amico Foods with his wife in Carroll Gardens.  There weren't too many cafe's at that time on Court St. (now home to tons of great food spots) and the coffee was certainly not up to the high standards of these Sicilian immigrants.   So they began roasting their own coffee in small batches, one of the first "roast to order" roasters in Brooklyn.

Today, D'Amico's Coffee Roasters is still family owned, with third generation Frank Jr. and Joan running the show, and still does custom roasting with the highest quality beans.  So whether you prefer light roasts, dark roasts, organic or flavored, you're definitely going to find something you love.  They also recently remodeled the shop after a fire in their roaster damaged their historic space and now the shop features additional seating and a proper coffee bar. Stop in to grab a bag for home, or to grab a cup of coffee and hang out in the shop.

Grab a spot on our Brooklyn Brownstone Food Tour to get an inside peek at this shop as well as other amazing food & drink tastings in the neighborhood.
