#CurrentObsessions: Dear Irving

The Basics: One of the most gorgeous bars you will find Manhattan, offering inspiring craft cocktails.
The Obsession: This bar has the essence of the Great Gatsby, with crystal bead curtains, sparkly chandeliers, plush couches, and a button to press to request your cocktail waiter or waitress. The drinks are unique and delicious. A crowd favorite is the Deacon Blues Old Fashioned, with Forester 100 Proof, angostura bitters, black pepper vanilla syrup, a twist of line, and Mezcal!
What's the Deal? This is great spot for a date or a night out with friends. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. A word to wise - the food portions are small so we suggest dining elsewhere and  coming here for drinks. Their cocktail menu is extensive, but they will also make you something off the menu - just ask! Their drinks demonstrate a creative use of bitters, including Angostura, a bitter from Venezuela that was once used for its medicinal properties, but is now used to flavor delicious-tasting drinks.
You can visit Dear Irving via the 4/5/6, QNR, or L train.
