Quiet Mornings at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) / October 12, 2016 (Wed) 7:30am to 9am
​Start your day quietly at The Museum of Modern Art, starting every Wednesday morning in October. See your favorite artwork, as well as those that are rarely viewed. Best of all, you can see it without crowds of people. For these specially priced early hours, they encourage visitors to walk around slowly and quietly to get inspiration for the day and week ahead. 
Lenz Winery Fall Mini-Progressive Dinner / October 13, 2016 (Thurs) 5:30pm to 9:30pm 
Join us on a walking foodie tour that highlights both Lenz wines and great Williamsburg restaurants. You will visit three stops where you will get a complete meal with NY ingredients paired with Lenz wines.
Taste of the Seaport / October 15, 2016 (Sat) at 11am
The South Street Seaport District’s is hosting an outdoor fall festival with food, drinks, live music, and family-friendly activities. This event will benefit the arts and enrichment programs at two local elementary schools, PS 343 Peck Slip School and PS 397 Spruce Street School.
Harvest Fest & Pumpkin Patch / October 16, 2016 (Sun) 11am to 5pm
​Head to the Queens Botanical Garden to enjoy craft and food vendors, a pumpkin patch, nature walks, farm tours, a beer tent, and so much more!

2016 New Wave Art Opening / October 4, 6pm-8pm
Grab your artsy friends, and visit the Peter Jay Sharp Building (30 Lafayette Ave.) and BAM Fisher (321 Ashland Pl.) to celebrate the 15th season of Next Wave Art with a free reception. At 7pm, there will be a number of performances by Svetlana Kitto and Amelia Bande, Charity Coleman and Morgan Bassichis, and Wo Chan and Rob Rusli.
Slice Out Hunger's $1 Slice Night / October 5, 6pm-8:30pm
The Shrine Church of Saint Anthony of Padua will be hosting a giant pizza party with pizza from 50 of the city's top pizzerias, including Lobardi's, Valducci's, DiFara, and so much more. Best of all, slices are only $1, and 100% of proceeds benefit NYC hunger relief charities.
Grand Re-Opening of New York Public Library’s Rose Reading Room / October 5-9, 9am-10pm 
After two years of construction, both the New York Public Library Rose Main Reading Room and The Bill Glass Public Catalog Room will reopen October 5. The historic spaces closed in May 2014 after a large plaster rosette dropped from the reading room’s ceiling and damaged the room. To celebrate the reopening, the library is hosting a free exhibition on the restoration called “Preserving a Masterpiece: From Soaring Ceilings to Subterranean Storage. ” 
Taste of Brooklyn / October 8, 5pm-8pm
Head to Brooklyn for a Latin Spice Food Tasting Event. Tickets are $23 and include food, beer, wine and a variety of tastings. Tisha Torres, or "Chef Charlie," is the organizer of this event, whose grandmother instilled in her the importance of passing on Puerto Rican recipes, culture, and tradition.
