#TuesdayTidbits- Urban Space:  Vanderbilt

Oh how the times have changed.
Manhattan used to be the epic-center of innovation and trend, but in recent years the cool-factor has reversed with Manhattan importing in culture from Brooklyn, Queens, and other 'bridge & tunnel' spots.  The city's obsession with food markets have them popping up all over and we've been especially excited about the newest addition to the Urban Space market line-up, their Vanderbilt location, just North of Grand Central Terminal.
Launched in NYC in 1994 (the original Urban Space Management started in London in 1972) dedicated to using markets as a way to stimulate economic growth & create central public spaces for both locals & visitors.  Their newest food hall is their first permanent, indoor space at the corner of Vanderbilt and 45th Street boasting over 20 artisanal vendors.
It's going to take a few trips to eat our way through, but so far we're excited about Toby's Estate Coffee (a small-batch roaster from Brooklyn), Bangkok B.A.R. (Thai street-food), Bar Suzette (a Chelsea Market staple, sweet & savory crepes), and Roberta's (the Bushwick pizza mecca).
