The Obsession:
Brooklyn-made chocolate bars, truffles + insane spreads.

The Basics:
Artisanal raw chocolate in unique flavors.

What's the Deal?
This sustainable chocolate maker started out in Williamsburg before moving to the "post-ironic neighborhood with new hipsters" of Bushwick.  You can find bars, chocolate bars + a hybrid of the two.  Some of the inventive flavors include ginger, truffle, coconut, mesquite + habanero.

You can visit Fine + Raw by taking the L train to Morgan Ave or grab their chocolate at various specialty grocers like Stinky Bklyn or Hops + Hocks.

The Obsession:
Handcrafted doughnuts baked fresh daily.

The Basics:
High quality, whole ingredients with super creative flavors like Strawberry + Cream, Peanut Butter + Banana Cream, Tres Leches, Creme Brûlée + Cashew + Orange Blossom.

What's the Deal?
In 1994 owner Mark started the Doughnut Plant using his Grandfather's recipe (who baked bread in the Army's bakery during WWI), converting the basement of a LES Tenement into a bakery delivering the doughnuts by bike in the mornings.  Over the year's he's developed practical + delicious creations such as the  Jelly-Filled Square Doughnut + Cake Donughts (made without yeast).  Everything is made with detailed attention, even the jelly for the jelly-filled donuts is made in-house.

You can find Doughnut Plant at various locations across the city as well as at Shake Shack, Citerella, Dean + Deluca, Joe Coffee, Jean-Georges, Stumptown Coffee, Third Rail Coffee, Toby's Estate Coffee, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream + other cafe's.
