New York City Tours by Urban Oyster
Fun and unique walking tours of New York City!  Discover the people and places that make our neighborhoods vibrant, diverse, and sustainable.

Brewed in Brooklyn Tour
Explore Beer, Breweries, and the Story of a Great Brooklyn Industry

Beer Tasting at Brooklyn Brewery
Toast your way through the past and present of beer brewing in Brooklyn! Once home to 48 breweries, this ancient and tasty trade disappeared from the borough in the 1970's, only to be reborn in recent years with craft breweries leading the way. On this tour, we'll take a behind-the-scenes look at how beer is made at one of Brooklyn's three present-day breweries, explore the pre-prohibition era as we check out 19th century brewery buildings and a church, and share stories of the German immigrants who worked and lived in the neighborhood in those days, and, of course, have plenty of craft beer and food along the way.
Tickets: $60/person
Must be 21 years of age or older to participate

Neighborhood Eats Tour: New York Waterfront
Discover the amazing past and present of food along the NYC waterfront.  Delicious food, a ferry ride, amazing history, and tales of Super Storm Sandy.
Neighborhood Eats Tour of New York Waterfront
This truly unique experience celebrates that New York's waterfront was once the home of food being shipped in from around the world, teaming markets where New Yorker's shopped, and major food production plants that fed the country.  Today, waterfront neighborhoods are being reinvented by a new breed of entrepreneurs.  On the tour you'll visit new artisan markets, chocolate factories, historic restaurants, and brand new shops where you'll taste a host of delicious treats while you learn amazing stories about the waterfront.  Beyond Food and History, the neighborhoods that we are visiting are the very ones that were inundated and devastated by Super Storm Sandy.  You'll be able to see the damage and recovery first hand.  Additionally we are visiting the same places that are struggling to recover so you'll be able hear their stories and contribute directly.  A donation is built into price of each ticket and will go towards the recovery efforts.

This Tour Is Still in Development and Will Go On Sale Shortly.  In the Meantime, Please Help Support Our Efforts To Bring This Tour to the Neighborhoods Devestated by Super Storm Sandy (and pre-purchase discount tickets) by Contributing to Our Crowd Funding Campaign
